Bravo, this was an enjoyable read. You have charming taste and style. I felt like it was maybe a bit insulting to boys ("boyhood") in general, but I was always a weird boy, so maybe it's just me. You gave me the strong sense that you are very critical of old-world values, and I love that. We should learn from the past, but the past should not define us, as what we would do well to learn from it is just how wrong so much of the past has been.
